The House with a Clock in Its Walls is a 2018 American fantasy film directed by Eli Roth, based on the 1973 juvenile fiction novel of the same name by John Bellairs. The film stars Jack Black, Cate Blanchett, Owen Vaccaro, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Sunny Suljic, and Kyle MacLachlan, and follows a young boy who goes to live with his uncle in a creaky old house. He soon learns it is haunted by the ghost of his uncle's former friend, who is about to end the world with a clock he had made and hidden within the house.
I loved this film as it contained magic and mystery, all the things which make an amazing family film. although it scared my mum in a couple of the scenes, it ended up being an amazing film to watch on a rainy day.
